Spanish Classes for Kids

What ages do you teach? We offer Spanish classes for kids for children ages 2–10 in New York City, including La Casita: Open Play (1–8 yrs), Little Spanish Explorers (2–5 yrs), Spanish Club (4–8 yrs), and Spanish Academy I (7–10 yrs). We also provide private tutoring and lessons for students up to age 17, all taught by NYS certified Spanish teachers.

Do I need to know Spanish to bring my child? Not at all! Our Spanish classes for kids are designed for children of all language backgrounds—no prior Spanish experience is required for Little Spanish Explorers, La Casita, or Spanish Club. Spanish Academy I does require that a student has completed Spanish Club or Intro to Spanish (or passes a brief assessment).

Where are classes held? Group classes take place at 155 E. 22nd Street, New York, NY 10010. We also offer private tutoring and lessons in Manhattan and Brooklyn.

What's the difference between tutoring and lessons? Tutoring is for students already taking Spanish in school who need extra support—whether that's catching up, clarifying concepts, or building confidence in speaking and writing. Lessons, however, are crafted by our teachers to teach your child Spanish from the ground up, tailored to their age and level.

Are your teachers certified? Yes—all of our teachers are NYS-certified.

What does a typical class look like? Depending on the age group, classes include songs, movement, storytelling, arts and crafts, and games—all designed to introduce Spanish naturally through play and hands-on learning.

How long is the Fall semester? Fall runs from the week of September 14, 2026, through the week of January 18, 2027, with 14–15 sessions depending on the class.

Can I drop in without enrolling for the full semester? La Casita: Open Play welcomes drop-ins for $25/session. Our other classes are semester-based enrollments.
